Q: How do I manage my Toolbag subscription renewal?

To review your active subscriptions and adjust any renewal settings, start on the Orders page of your account through Toolbag's license portal. Any subscriptions will be listed under the "Your Subscriptions" header, and click the gear icon ⚙️to 'Manage Subscription', which will redirect you to the billing portal where you can change renewal status, update your payment methods, or even billing address on file. Note: Redirecting from the license portal to the billing portal does require you to log in again with your Marmoset account credentials.

Q: When is Toolbag 5's official release date?

A release date is yet to be determined. As soon as we know, we will announce it to the world as loud as possible! We have a lot of exciting new feature sets introduced in Toolbag 5's beta, and we encourage all artists to jump into this beta release, and share any and all feedback with us to help make this our best release yet.

Q: What are my purchasing options for Toolbag 5?

We have not published an official release date or purchasing options for Toolbag 5. We aim to spend as much time as we need in the beta phase to receive your feedback and make this the best possible release. We will loudly share all purchasing options as soon as the release date is set! If you currently have a license for Toolbag, follow the instructions below to gain access to Toolbag 5: Active Subscribers If you have an active subscription license (Individual, Studio, Academic) for Toolbag, you receive access to Toolbag 5 with your existing license - no additional purchase or separate license is required! Download the beta, install, and sign into the software with your Marmoset account credentials to begin. Perpetual License Owners A perpetual license for Toolbag 3 or 4 limits your license access to those specific versions. You can still receive full-featured, limited-time access to the Toolbag 5 beta with a free trial. To start a Toolbag 5 trial license, download and install the beta, and sign into the software with your Marmoset account credentials to automatically start a free, 60-day trial license.

Q: What are Toolbag 5's system requirements?

Toolbag's current system requirements remain the same for Toolbag 5. Since Toolbag is heavily GPU-dependent, for stability and performance, the more VRAM the better! We strongly encourage users to run Toolbag on a machine with at least 16 GB of system memory (RAM), and 16 GB of video memory (VRAM). If working with UDIM projects in baking, texturing, or rendering, consider a machine with at least 32 GB of system memory. During the Toolbag 5 install process, watch for the prompt to migrate any Toolbag 4 App Preferences, Workspaces, and Library files to Toolbag 5. Doing so will save you a lot of extra setup time.

Q: Can I use Toolbag 5 on the same machine as other versions?

Yes! Toolbag 5 follows a separate install path from previous versions of Toolbag, and Toolbag 5 user files (preferences, workspaces, etc.) are independent of past versions as well. Any active Toolbag subscription license has immediate access to the Toolbag 5 Beta. All other users are eligible for a free, full-featured trial for Toolbag 5 by signing up for a Marmoset account (if needed) then signing into the software to activate your free trial license.

Q: Can I review your EULA?

Yes! Our EULA is included with each download of Marmoset Toolbag, but for easy access, jump over to our Terms page to review the complete End User License Agreement.

Q: Is there a maintenance option? What upgrades do I receive?

There are no additional software maintenance fees required. All customers receive complimentary technical support and account support via email, or through our Marmoset Discord, for the lifetime of the software product. Perpetual licenses require a one-time fee which grants indefinite access to the version you purchased, with all minor point release updates included free of charge (i.e. v5 perpetual license receives all v5.* updates ). Subscription licenses are available on a monthly or annual renewal term. A Toolbag subscription has the benefit of being version-independent. As long as you’re an active subscriber you’ll have access to the latest release of Marmoset Toolbag.

Q: What are my payment options?

Any purchase placed directly through our web store will assign the purchased licenses to the account/email address used during the checkout -- payment via credit card, debit card, and PayPal is available. If you are a business purchasing Studio tier licenses and prefer to be invoiced with additional payment options, or prefer to place your order through a reseller, we are happy to assist. Q: How do I manage license assignments for multiple users?

All Studio and Academic tier licenses can make use of Sub User tools through Toolbag's license portal (see Users page). You may have your end users access the software using your primary account credentials as their software login, or assign a license seat to a specific sub user, or assign multiple license seats to a sub user account for shared use by a group of end users. The admin account for the licenses maintains the ability to revoke a license from a sub user at any time, and reassign to another user. Note: Toolbag licenses allow 1 concurrent user per license seat. License seats assigned to a user will freely transfer between any machines using Toolbag under the same user account login.

Q: How do I install and deploy licenses to multiple machines at once?

Toolbag 4 has command line options available for silent install and deployment of licenses to multiple machines. Please review our Toolbag Deployment Guid e for complete details.
